Virtually any weapon system can be equipped with LFME within very short time, regardless of the manufacturer. It transmits audio and video data from the perspective of the gunner and commander in main battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles or weapon systems in real time via radio at ranges up to 5,000 m to the trainer, which virtually puts him together with the crew. It can provide advice and instructions without delay, actively intervene in hazardous situations and – if necessary – block the gun via remote control. All information is saved and will be available for subsequent follow-up after the exercise.
Trainer monitoring during live fire
Mobile trainer’s container which the trainer’s console is integrated into for controlling the overall system and tracking radio-voice communication information from the vehicles.
Co-viewing setup for follow-up work with the crews after the exercise
Heating and air conditioning system
Radio antennas for wireless data transmission to the vehicles involved in the exercise
Targeting camera for recording the shooting results during live fire at long ranges
With LFME equipped infantry fighting vehicles
LFME vehicle equipment kits for all vehicles to be monitored during the exercise
Performance characteristics of LFME
- Monitoring, recording and follow-up work for series of shots from multiple combat vehicles in real time
- Wireless transmission of the views from targeting optics together with additional vehicle data up to 5,000 m
- The trainer can block the weapon by remote control via radio connection.
- Firing exercises from the crew’s view can be recorded
- Remote-controlled targeting camera for hit evaluation from great distances
- Quick installation/removal of LFME in vehicles within 30 minutes
LFME is available in two main variants: stationary for control turrets at firing ranges and mobile in a truck-loadable cabin or integrated in a rack system for maximum mobility with minimal infrastructural requirements.
Maximum transparency for trainers. Effective system for reducing error rates
The LFME was developed together with military firing instructors for efficiently detecting and eliminating firing errors. The commanding personnel receives all of the information necessary for safe and cost-effective firing training at a glance. In the standard version, the trainer is capable of supervising crews of up to four weapon systems at the same time, and has the same audiovisual information as the crews to do so.
