Welded assemblies
The welded assemblies and assembly groups product group is in charge of the strategic procurement of assemblies made of non-armoured steel (aluminium, stainless steel, structural steel). The volumes to be procured are composed of the widest variety of production methods, such as laser, lathe and mill machining, usually with surface treatments, as well as various purchased parts for the final assembly of the relevant components. Procurements within this product group call for great attention to be paid to uniformly high quality (a prerequisite is qualification as per 3834-2 and DIN 2303/Q2, BC1) and flexible cooperation in terms of compliance with deadlines throughout entire serial production orders.
Cut and bent parts (armoured steel / plated aluminium)
Components from the product group of cut and bent parts made of armoured steel and plated aluminium make up the basic structure of our vehicles as well as provide add-on protection on the outer skin of the vehicles. High quality and dimensional accuracy as well as component delivery on schedule are indispensable here. Furthermore, compliance with the processing specifications and approvals of the raw material manufacturers, public contracting authority and KNDS Deutschland are absolutely essential. The product group focuses on the global procurement of complex chassis and protective components by the tens of millions. The scope of procurement ranges from sand-cast and precision-cast parts, forged parts, profiles and hot working to armoured steel. In addition to the requirement for maximum quality, the priority is on material supply in consideration of the long replenishment time. One of the biggest challenges on the applicable procurement market is the heightened investment requirements at present, since advancements in technology intensify market consolidation.

With parts and components from the lathed and milled product group, we ensure that other assemblies and components can be mounted in and on our vehicles across all locations.

The field of rubber and plastic parts primarily deals with the strategic procurement of gaskets as per drawings, lightweight components, foam cushions and semi-finished products, which are used on the interior and exterior of our vehicles.
