Dual studies at KNDS Deutschland
Combination of studies and practice
KNDS Deutschland has accumulated positive experience with dual courses of studies for many years. In them, we work together with many partners in higher education from the very beginning. The certificate is a Bachelor’s diploma. There are also many practical operations at the company. Numerous classes have successfully completed the programme and are now very well integrated in the company. The success proves we’re right: For instance, you are now working on high-responsibility tasks as a project engineer or department manager.
Requirements:
- Higher education entrance qualification / advanced technical college certificate with study-related advanced courses
- High level of technical interest
- Extremely motivated and committed
Dual study at the Munich site
For several years now, secondary school graduates have been able to complete a course of studies at Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) and immediately put theory into practice at the same time.
The DHBW course of studies lasts three years, half of which takes place at the Cooperative University, and half of which in practical training in the specialist departments. Together with our cooperative university partners, we offer annual slots in various educational directions.
Depending on demand, it may be the case that we do not offer training in all technical fields every year. We offer the following technical fields:
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Computer Science
- Embedded Systems

Dual study at the Kassel site
The dual study program is conducted in collaboration with the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) in Wetzlar, the Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaft und Kunst (HAWK) in Göttingen, or the Hochschule für Ökonomie und Management (FOM) in Kassel.
The practical training in the company takes place during the lecture-free period and as part of a practical semester (THM & HAWK). At FOM, you study in a practice-integrated evening and Saturday program. The study programs last approximately 4 years.
Depending on demand, it may be that we do not offer all study programs every year. We offer the following study programs:
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Science
- Business Informatics
- Business Law
The dual study program starts on September 1st every year.
